Since the regular GTA trilogy ( from US$26 on Amazon) is already available in the PlayStation Store for PS4 and on PC via Steam, it is more than likely that this remastered version is intended for the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, on which the games should be able to run at resolutions of 4K at 60fps. The committee has now rated a game with the official name Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, which leaves little doubt that the bestsellers from the PlayStation 2 and Xbox era are finally getting a version for modern consoles. Thanks to a South Korean administrative committee, it has now become fairly clear that these remakes are in fact remastered versions of the iconic Grand Theft Auto games.Īccording to a report by Polygon, the South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee has been a reliable indicator of upcoming launches of video games in the past. The parent company Take-Two has not directly confirmed these rumors, but it has announced that remasters of already released titles are in the making. There have been plenty of rumors that Rockstar Games is working on a remastered version of the classic Grand Theft Auto games GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas.
